The following events are confirmed bookings for the Wardour Garrison for 2020:
Come along and join us at Wrest Park for the St George’s Festival. We will be part of a multi-period weekend at Wrest Park we will be cooking and doing lots of different crafts in our encampment, there is plenty to come and see
Step back to a time when Poltimore house played a crucial role in the English Civil War. We will bring the grounds to life with an encampment portraying trades, crafts and life as it was in 17th century England. Listen to a talk on the Treaty of Exeter in the Great Hall, the very room in which it was signed on 9th April 1646 bringing to an end the Parliamentarian siege of Exeter.
The Wardour garrison will be at Sudeley castle to commemorate a visit by Queen Elizabeth 1. come and join us, We Will have our kitchen tent in full swing, with lots of tasty food being cooked, we will be having drinks and playing games in our tavern tent and with lots of different crafts to come and see.
come and see our encampment at Carisbrooke Castle, with lots of different things going on, we will be playing games in the Tavern, cooking lots of delicious dishes in our cooks tent and with many other crafts happening in the camp, there is so much to see, including a weapon display from our soldiers.
The Wardour Garrison will be at Arundel Castle on the August bank holiday weekend for its 12,000 years of combat event from the stone age to the Victorians. There will be weapons, craft and combat.
